Community Guidelines
Rewatch is a place to share what you love and find people who love it too. Disagreeing about a film is the point; being unkind to the person who liked it is not.
Be decent to people
- Argue with the opinion, not the person. No insults, harassment, or pile-ons.
- No threats, hate speech, or attacks on people for who they are (race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, gender, sexuality, disability, age).
- Do not share anyone's private information (addresses, phone numbers, real identities they have not shared), or content about them that they would not want shared.
- Do not pretend to be someone else, and do not run accounts to bother someone.
Keep it honest and on topic
- Mark reviews that give away the story with the spoiler switch, and say how far they go. The site hides them from people who have not got that far.
- Ratings and reviews should be your own. No fake accounts, no trading ratings, no undisclosed paid or coordinated reviews.
- No spam, advertising, or repeated copies of the same text.
- Respect creators: do not post links to pirated copies, and do not paste someone else's writing as your own.
What does not belong here
- Anything illegal, and anything that sexualises or endangers children.
- Graphic sexual content or gratuitous gore in profile pictures, banners, names or text.
- Malware, phishing, or anything built to harm other people's devices or accounts.
When something is wrong
Use the Report button on the review, comment, list or profile. Pick a reason; you can add detail. Moderators read each report, hide or remove what breaks these rules, and can warn, suspend or ban the person responsible. A report does not hide anything by itself, and reporting in bad faith is itself against the rules. Blocking or muting someone is always available and immediate.
If a decision was made about your content or account, we tell you what and why. If you think it was wrong, write to [email protected] and someone will look at it again.
